Learning about things to do better
Let’s start at the very beginning.
Why do I homeschool?
It’s a question I have been asked several times. It’s a question I’ve asked others several times. It’s a very good question.
A question I believe has several layered answers. The answers are based on my experience as a schooled individual, my observations of other family member’s school experiences, my knowledge as a parent, my knowledge as a teacher, and hundreds of books I’ve read from those who have gone before me down this path.
I homeschool because each one of us is born a Genius.
We are born unique and individual with a set combination of traits, tendencies, desires, passions, interests and wonderings that only we can seek out.
the school system, as a system is not designed to cater to children as unique individuals. The school system is incapable and not set up to draw out the genius of each person. And each person, without a doubt, is created with genius that is crying to be drawn out. For many children, their genius gets told to be quiet and sit down.
